Few chains publish a national price list, so most of our prices come from public menu-price websites and delivery-app listings, and from a chain's own website or app where it shows prices. We use the best source we can find for each chain in each country, and every menu page keeps a note of where its prices came from and the date that source gave. Each country's page is built from that country's own sources, not translated from another market.
Some sources take prices from a chain's delivery menu, which can cost more than ordering in store, and some list one named branch rather than the whole country. Prices vary by branch, so read every figure as a fair guide to that chain in that country, not a promise about your nearest restaurant.
Estimated prices
Some menu-price websites model prices for certain countries from other markets instead of reading them from a local menu, and label them as estimates. When our source does that, the menu page shows an "Estimated prices" notice. We don't treat those figures as verified, and we're replacing them with prices read from real menus.
Freshness
Every menu page shows a "last verified" date. Prices change — sometimes often — so a date in the past doesn't mean the price is wrong, only that it hasn't been rechecked since then. We aim to recheck each menu about every three months, starting with the pages people read most, and older pages are more likely to be out of date.
Currency conversions
Where we compare prices across countries, we convert them with a dated snapshot of central-bank exchange rates, not a live feed. The currency converter lists every rate and its date.
What counts as "famous"
Coverage starts with large, recognizable chains — the ones people actually search prices for — and expands to include well-known independent restaurants as each country's coverage matures.
Corrections
If a price or item on this site is wrong, out of date, or missing, tell us on the contact page and we'll check it. When we find a mistake ourselves, we fix it and say so. Our guide to how we verify menu prices explains all of this in more detail.
