Which countries have Chipotle?

As of October 2026, Chipotle is in 10 countries: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Mexico and South Korea. Singapore is next, with a first restaurant planned for 2027.

Almost all of them are in the US. Chipotle had over 4,200 restaurants in total by the end of June 2026, and at the end of 2025 only 118 of its 4,056 restaurants were outside the US.

How many Chipotle restaurants are there in the world?

Chipotle had over 4,200 restaurants at the end of June 2026. At the end of 2025 it had 4,056: 3,938 in the US, 104 that it runs itself in Canada and Europe, and 14 run by a partner in the Middle East.

Unlike most big chains, Chipotle doesn't franchise in the US, Canada or Europe. It owns and runs every restaurant there. In newer markets it works with large local operators instead. Alshaya Group runs its restaurants in the Middle East, Alsea runs them in Mexico, and a joint venture with Sangmidang Holdings, formerly SPC Group, runs them in South Korea.

Is there a Chipotle in Mexico?

Yes, but only since 16 July 2026. That's when the first Chipotle in Mexico opened in San Pedro Garza García, near Monterrey, more than 30 years after the first one opened in Denver in 1993. More restaurants are planned in Nuevo León during 2026, followed by Mexico City in 2027.

Is there a Chipotle in Asia?

Yes. Chipotle opened its first Asian restaurant in Seoul, South Korea, in September 2026, on Gangnam-daero. Two more Korean restaurants are planned by the end of 2026, and Singapore should follow in 2027.

What does Chipotle cost in different countries?

We list Chipotle menus with prices for the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada.

  • United States: a Chicken Burrito is $10.75 on our list, before sales tax.
  • United Kingdom: a burrito is £13.50, about $17.89. UK prices include 20% VAT, but even without the VAT, £13.50 would be £11.25, about $14.91. That's still well above the US price.
  • Canada: a burrito is C$14.20, about $10.04, before tax. That's slightly less than in the US once converted.
