Which countries have Burger King?

Burger King is in 126 countries and territories, with 19,900 restaurants at the end of 2025. That's more countries than McDonald's, which is in more than 100, although McDonald's has more than twice as many restaurants.

How many Burger King restaurants are there?

Most of them are outside North America. At the end of 2025, 7,025 Burger Kings were in the US and Canada and 12,875 were in the rest of the world. By the end of June 2026, the US and Canada count had dipped slightly, to 6,992.

Burger King belongs to Restaurant Brands International, the Canadian company that also owns Tim Hortons, Popeyes and Firehouse Subs. Almost every restaurant is run by a franchisee, not by the company.

What does a Whopper cost around the world?

The same burger costs more than four times as much in Italy as in Nigeria, once converted. European prices include VAT, while US and Canadian prices are before sales tax, so the gap with North America is a little smaller than it looks.

France isn't in the table because our French list only has the Veggie Whopper, at €7.90. Our Dutch prices are estimates, so we've left them out too.
