Who owns Pizza Hut?

Since 1997, Pizza Hut has belonged to Yum! Brands, the company behind KFC and Taco Bell. That's changing. In June 2026, Yum! agreed to sell Pizza Hut in two parts: to the investment firm LongRange Capital everywhere except mainland China, and to Yum China in mainland China. Yum! expected both deals to close by the end of September 2026.

Because nearly every Pizza Hut is run by a franchisee, customers shouldn't notice much change straight away.
