The
Founded by S. Truett Cathy, who opened his first restaurant, the Dwarf Grill, in Hapeville, Georgia, in 1946, and later developed the pressure-cooked boneless chicken breast sandwich that became Chick-fil-A when the chain launched in 1967. Well known for closing every location on Sundays, a policy rooted in Cathy's religious beliefs that the company has maintained since its founding.
