Hungry Jack's Menu

Operates as Burger King's Australian identity. When Burger King wanted to expand into Australia in 1971, the "Burger King" trademark there was already held by another business, so Australian franchisee Jack Cowin was licensed to use "Hungry Jack's" instead — a name borrowed from a pancake-mix brand. The name has stuck ever since, even though the trademark issue was later resolved.
