Founded in 1968 in Brussels, Belgium — despite now being one of France's most recognisable restaurant chains, Léon de Bruxelles started as a genuinely Belgian mussels-and-fries restaurant before expanding into France, where it grew to nearly 70 locations built around the same moules-frites format.
