Founded in 1986 in Lagos as part of UAC of Nigeria, one of the country's oldest fast-food chains and, for a long stretch through the 1990s and 2000s, its dominant one — loosely modelled on the American fast-food format but built around Nigerian dishes alongside burgers, before newer chains like Chicken Republic and Sweet Sensation gained ground.
