Nando's Menu

Founded in 1987 in Rosettenville, Johannesburg, South Africa, when Fernando Duarte and Robert Brozin bought a small Portuguese chicken restaurant and rebuilt its identity around peri-peri — African bird's-eye chilli — sauce, a flavour tradition carried into southern Africa through Portuguese colonial trade routes via Mozambique. Grew into a global chain while keeping its South African-Portuguese roots central to its branding.
